Rats are a popular source of protein in this part of the world, particularly among Vietnamese farming communities in both the north and south—though you can also find rat on the menu in some urban areas, including Ho Chi Minh City.


Grilled rat with lemongrass and chilli, stewed rat in coconut juice, and rat curry with coconut milk and spices. These are all classic Vietnamese ways to cook meat, so it was no surprise that all the dishes were tasty, spicy, and full of flavour. The real surprise was that rat meat has its own unique flavour.





 


Ingredients:

  1. Shacha Sauce

  2. Msg

  3. Oil





PROCEDURE:

1. Season the rats with shacha sauce, fish sauce and MSG on their body.

2. Then prepare the grill on charcoal for it to be roasted.
